I tried the classic chicken and waffles, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The balance of sweet and savory was spot on, and the portions were generous. Also, their homemade syrup and sauces added that perfect finishing touch.

The highlight of my meal, however, was the Best Triple Mixed Tea. This refreshing beverage offered a delightful mix of sweet, tangy, and aromatic flavors that paired perfectly with the rich taste of the chicken. Served chilled, it was the perfect accompaniment to my meal and a standout item on their menu. However, my experience was somewhat marred by the slow service. While the staff were friendly and courteous, it took quite a while for my order to arrive. This wait time detracted from the overall experience, especially since I was eager to dig into the much-anticipated meal. Despite the delay, the quality of the food made up for the wait to some extent. If you have the time and patience, Connie’s Chicken is worth a visit for its excellent fried chicken and exceptional triple mixed tea. Just be prepared for a potentially longer wait than you might expect. In conclusion, Connie’s Chicken offers a delectable dining experience with its top-notch chicken and refreshing tea. While the slow service can be a drawback, the food quality makes it a place worth visiting.
The food was excellent! I had the fish and waffles plus chicken. The guys working were so pleasant and attentive. I will be back and highly recommend. Mrs. Connie herself was there just as pleasant.
Definitely go here when you are at Lexington Market. The fried chicken waffle sandwich was made to order and perfect to eat right there or take to the Os game like I did. And props to the friendly staff!
Jalin was amazing !!! Understood the time constraint I was under and made sure my order was done quickly !! He checked in on me and even encouraged small talk … For a young man I was thoroughly impressed ! Reona made the most delicious waffle … soft and sweet with a crispy edge. The pressure was on with a long line and she kept a smile the entire time !!
Food was served hot and was delicious. I had the fish and chips, and both were crispy. The fries were nicely seasoned too. Miss Connie also popped in and is an absolute delight. Will definitely return to this place!
Connie’s Chicken and Waffles is more than just a soul food restaurant, it’s a family legacy brought to life by brothers Khari and Shawn Parker. Inspired by their mother Connie’s love for cooking and her homemade meals, the brothers opened their first location in Baltimore in 2016, aiming to share the comfort and joy of their family gatherings with the community.
Food was excellent. Service was excellent too. I had the chicken and red velvet waffle. Both chicken had great flavors and textures. I’m from Houston but live in Corvallis, Oregon. It was nice to have some down home food all the way on the east coast. Definitely would recommend Connie’s.
